ALMM Regulations: A New Era for Wind Energy Compliance

INDIA

In Short : According to a recent survey by the India Energy Storage Alliance (IESA), almost 60% of women professionals working in the energy sector in India are advocating for gender-responsive policies to encourage the use of renewable energy sources and assist the nation in reaching its 2030 clean energy target of 500 GW.

The poll, which was carried out in 26 states, emphasizes the necessity of awareness campaigns, sustainability communication plans, and legislative frameworks that encourage increased female involvement at all points of the renewable energy value chain.

According to IESA, women’s participation in technical roles, leadership, and on-ground project implementation can be greatly increased by including gender equality into programs like PM Surya Ghar, PM KUSUM, and the National Green Hydrogen Mission.

Women are not only taking part in India’s renewable energy revolution, but they are also becoming leaders in the field, promoting inclusivity and creativity, according to IESA President Debmalya Sen.

The Value of Outreach and Communication
According to experts, raising awareness of the programs, training opportunities, and financial support available to women in the energy profession requires focused public relations and digital marketing initiatives. Efforts to communicate about sustainability can also motivate businesses and legislators to give diversity and inclusion top priority.

The Significance of This
Currently, just 11–15% of Indian energy workers are women, and they are underrepresented in technical sectors.

Increased inclusion may spur innovation, provide fair working conditions, and help India reach its targets for renewable energy.
