JSW Energy’s Q1 FY26: A Milestone in Renewable Growth

QUARTER RESULTS

Mumbai, July 26, 2025 — JSW Energy Limited has reported a 34% year-on-year jump in
consolidated net profit to ₹880 crore for the first quarter of FY26, up from ₹656 crore in the
same period last year. The growth was driven by higher renewable energy generation and
strategic capacity additions.
Revenue from operations rose 12% to ₹3,218 crore, supported by an increase in operational
capacity and improved plant load factors. The company’s renewable portfolio now accounts
for more than 60% of its total generation capacity, aligning with its target to achieve net-zero
emissions by 2050.
EBITDA for the quarter stood at ₹1,669 crore, reflecting higher generation, efficiency gains,
and stable realisations. Finance costs increased to ₹330 crore due to recent capacity-linked
borrowings, while depreciation expenses rose to ₹503 crore.
During Q1, JSW Energy commissioned 300 MW of wind capacity and advanced multiple
solar and hydro projects under construction. The company reiterated its goal of reaching 20
GW total capacity by 2030, with a majority from renewables.
Market analysts welcomed the results, citing JSW Energy’s steady shift toward clean energy
as a key driver of long-term growth potential.
