Waaree Unveils Ultra-Light Flexible Solar

How to Install Waaree’s Ultra-Light Solar Modules

FEATURED

In Short : The biggest producer of solar modules in India, Waaree Energies Ltd., has unveiled a new line of Flexible Light-Weight (FLW) solar modules. A new era of distributed solar applications will be ushered in by these panels, which are intended to increase solar adoption across curved surfaces such as walls, rooftops with poor load-bearing capability, railway infrastructure, metro station façade, and gasoline pump canopies.

Urban Versatility Meets Lightweight Design

These flexible modules require only about 8 kg/m² of roof strength and are up to 70% lighter than traditional glass panels. They are also less than 3.5 mm thick. They are perfect for delicate and unusual installations throughout cities and intricate infrastructure since they may be directly bonded to surfaces without the need for penetrative mounting, which lowers structural complexity and minimizes leakage.

Urban Deployments using Performance Engineering

The panels have robust low-light performance, IP67-rated junction boxes, ETFE front sheets, and power outputs of up to 500 W with module efficiency close to 18%. Because of this, they are ideal for transit zones, urban canyons, and other settings with fluctuating lighting, promoting solar dependability and resilience.
