In a major push for indigenous EV manufacturing, Exide Energy Solutions Ltd., a
subsidiary of Exide Industries, has partnered with Hyundai Motor India and Kia India to supply India’s first locally-manufactured LFP (Lithium Iron Phosphate) battery cells for their upcoming electric vehicles.
This landmark development makes Exide the first Indian company to supply locally- produced LFP cells for global automobile giants, reinforcing the “Make in India” initiative and strengthening India’s EV supply chain ecosystem.
