Modern electrolysers driven by renewable energy will be installed in the factory, allowing Jindal Stainless to switch from hydrogen derived from fossil fuels to a sustainable substitute. A long-term plan to improve clean energy integration in steel production, lower emissions, and fortify industrial decarbonization is reflected in the scalability to 1.5 KTPA.
Impact and Significance of Clean Energy
The production of stainless steel, which has historically relied on high-emission fuels, will see a major reduction in carbon intensity thanks to this project. Jindal Stainless will support India’s National Green Hydrogen Mission and increase the use of clean fuels in heavy industries by implementing green hydrogen.
