In Short : Astor Enerji, based in Turkey, and Energy Vault have partnered globally to expedite the development of grid infrastructure and utility-scale energy storage. Astor Enerji will deliver transformers and high-voltage equipment surpassing 1 GW for Energy Vault’s BESS projects throughout the U.S., Australia, and Europe, while Energy Vault will supply up to 2 GWh of B-VAULTTM battery energy storage systems (BESS) for Astor Enerji’s solar projects in Romania. This partnership is indicative of the increasing convergence of renewable infrastructure development and energy storage options.

Increasing Grid Resilience with Equilibrium Supply Chains

Through this partnership, Astor Enerji’s manufacturing expertise in high-quality transformers is seamlessly integrated with Energy Vault’s cutting-edge short- and long-duration storage solutions and AI-driven VaultOSTM energy management platform. Together, they want to strengthen global energy resilience by resolving significant supply bottlenecks, especially in light of U.S. transformer lead times that range from 50 to 127 weeks.

Connecting to the Rise in Global Energy Demand

The collaboration spans several rapidly expanding markets. The storage assets will be run by Energy Vault’s Asset Vault subsidiary, which is supported by a recent $300 million preferred equity investment. This will enable safe energy dispatch into merchant and off-take markets. Together, they will be able to handle the increasing demand for electricity from industrial customers, renewable energy developers, and AI data centers.
