How to Participate in Jodhpur Discom’s Solar Tender

INDIA

Jodhpur Vidyut Vitran Nigam Limited (JDVVNL) has issued a tender for the establishment of 8 megawatts (MW) of decentralized solar power projects under the PM-KUSUM Scheme (Component A) as part of their ongoing efforts to promote clean energy in rural Rajasthan. This action attempts to lessen reliance on traditional power sources and improve farmers’ access to energy.

Project Summary

Four 2 MW solar projects will be developed as part of the tender and will be located close to Kaliberi, Uchiyara, Mogra, and Gumti. The Renewable Energy Service Company (RESCO) model will be used to construct these projects, and the developer will be in charge of:

  • Creating, providing, and launching the projects
  • Linking up with adjacent 33/11 kV substations
  • Setting up an RMS (Remote Monitoring System)
  • Project management and upkeep for 25 years
Tariff and Bidding
  • Tariff ceiling: ₹3.04 per kWh
  • Deadline to submit a bid: August 5, 2025
  • Opening of the bid: August 6, 2025

Participation is restricted to pre-qualified bidders only. The lowest quoted rate (L1) shall be the basis for selection. If there is a tie, the contract will be given out in front of the bidders via a lottery technique.

Promoting Rural Solar Objectives

JDVVNL’s larger effort to expand decentralized solar in rural areas is in line with this project. Under the PM-KUSUM program, the utility has already put over 841 MW of solar power into service, helping almost 75,000 farmers. By March 2026, it hopes to boost capacity to 6,000 MW, revolutionizing the energy situation for Rajasthan’s rural villages.
