In Short : In the Power & Renewable Energy Equipment Zone in Narmadapuram, Madhya Pradesh, Insolation Green Energy, a fully owned subsidiary of Insolation Energy, has started building a 4.5 GW solar cell manufacturing facility in addition to an 18,000 MT aluminum frame plant. With a 45-acre footprint and an approximate ₹1,600 crore investment, this is the company’s first plant outside of Rajasthan and its fourth overall.
Encouraging Strategic Growth
With this project, Insolation’s overall module manufacturing capacity rises to 4 GW, complementing its recently constructed 3 GW PV module plant in Jaipur. In order to demonstrate its dedication to growing India’s clean energy infrastructure, the business plans to scale up to 8 GW of solar modules, 3 GW of solar cells, and 54,000 MT of aluminum frame capacity by FY 2027.
Impact and Significance of Clean Energy
The production of solar components must be increased if India is to make the switch to renewable energy. By enabling the wider deployment of domestically made solar infrastructure, this new plant will strengthen energy security and lessen reliance on imports.
