What is the CPS Energy Hydrogen Pilot Program?

The cutting-edge turquoise hydrogen project, which uses methane pyrolysis to turn natural gas into clean hydrogen while capturing solid carbon for commercial reuse, is being piloted by CPS Energy, the municipal utility of San Antonio, in collaboration with clean-tech firm Modern Hydrogen. This project is in line with CPS Energy’s Vision 2027 plan to increase grid resilience and diversify its power portfolio using cutting-edge technologies.
