What Can Chhattisgarh Gain from Its Japan-S Korea Tour?

In Short : In an effort to encourage industrial investment in Chhattisgarh, Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai has embarked on his first international journey since taking office, a 10-day official tour of South Korea and Japan. As part of the state’s recently announced industrial policy, this tour aims to capitalize on foreign interest in the main growth industries of electronics, cars, and food processing.

Momentum for Investments Supported by the Industrial Policy Movement

Since the new industrial policy was introduced in November, Chhattisgarh has received ₹6.5 trillion in proposals. The state is taking the initiative to provide a strong, investor-friendly climate, as seen by the numerous projects that are now under way and others that are in the works.

Presenting at the 2025 World Expo

At World Expo 2025 in Osaka, where India’s pavilion will showcase advancements in IT, space, healthcare, tourism, and infrastructure, CM Sai will also represent Chhattisgarh. Under the ‘One District One Product’ campaign, Chhattisgarh’s special booth will highlight the state’s technological advancements and cultural legacy, with particular attention paid to its renowned Dokra metal art.

Strategic Alliances to Come

In order to establish collaborations and knowledge sharing in specific industries, the CM’s schedule consists of investor outreach events in Tokyo and talks in Seoul. The main objective is to increase the state’s influence internationally, spur economic expansion, and create jobs.
